Request for quotation RFQ2001-000004 from Smith & Co. a/s is for inventory purposes only. We have tested our Dolibar ERP CRM open source to generate a request for quotation in bulk to test the inventory stock level and ERP material movement.
We have test register new product into our ERP CRM software and it works very well without any interruption from Dolibarr software. ERP system will generate the system automatically and it is easier to control the product number / SKU number/item code related to the warehouse. Please read our previous post the reason of test and the result of the registration. Everything works according to ERP CRM blueprint by Smith & Co. A/S. And ERP User Acceptance Test (ERP UAT) is done for this stage.

Request for quotation RFQ2001-000004
This request contains 7 different part numbers and what we have set is present in the print-out PDF document. If you want to see the request for quotation sample, it is available on Scribd.What we have set for each part number or product number is:
- Part number: ERP system will generate it automatically
- Part number label: create manually.
- Product description: Separate into two sections, one for quotation and the other one for RFQ.
- Product sell price and VAT: We have set according to standard company product margin and it is filled manually.
- Product buys price: Fills manually by choosing from which supplier, what is the SKU number, how must for buy price, and how much VAT rate for the buy price.
- Inventory stock level: MRP setting is defined manually, we have trouble to define the ERP MRP setting automatically or want to see the material movement and export it. This tool is not available in Dolibarr ERP CRM. But we still trying to maintain it.
Request for Quotation to Purchase Order
After generating the RFQ, the supplier provides us with the quotation and acceptance in ERP is done manually. Create a purchase order following the RFQ is very simple and there is no major issues we have found during the ERP user acceptance test.
